Parking Reminder ("we", "our", "the app") is a utility application that helps you save your parking location with GPS coordinates, set timer reminders for parking meter expiry, take photos of your parking spot, and navigate back to your car. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Parking Reminder, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

## 2. Information We Collect

### 2.1 Information You Provide

When you save a parking spot, you may provide:

- Parking location (via GPS or manual address entry)

- Floor or level information (e.g., B2, Level 3)

- Zone or section information (e.g., A-12, Blue Zone)

- Parking meter duration (minutes)

- Notes about your parking spot

- Photos of your parking spot or surroundings

When you contact us, you may provide:

- Feedback category, subject, and message content

- **Device information** (model, OS version) for crash reporting

- **App usage analytics** (screens visited, feature usage) for app improvement

- **Advertising identifiers** (for serving ads to free-tier users)

### 2.3 Location Data

- GPS coordinates are captured **only** when you explicitly tap "Get Current Location" while saving a parking spot

- **No background location tracking** -- location is a one-time, on-demand capture only

- Location coordinates are stored **locally on your device only**

- Location data is **never transmitted to any server or third party**

- You can delete any parking record (and its associated location data) at any time

## 3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

- Save and display your parking location so you can navigate back to your car

- Show parking meter countdown timers and send expiry reminders

- Display photos of your parking spot for easy identification

- Maintain a history of past parking spots for your reference

- Display advertisements to free-tier users

- Improve app performance and fix crashes via analytics and crash reporting

- Process premium subscription and lifetime purchases

## 4. Data Storage and Security

### 4.1 Local Storage

- All your parking data (locations, photos, history, preferences) is stored **locally on your device** using a Room database

- Photos are stored in the app's private internal storage, accessible only to the app

- App preferences (theme, settings) are stored locally via SharedPreferences

- **No cloud storage or cloud sync** -- your data never leaves your device

### 4.2 Security Measures

- All network communication (ads, analytics, crash reports) uses HTTPS/TLS encryption

- Photos are stored in the app's private directory, inaccessible to other apps

- No user accounts or passwords are involved -- the app is entirely local

## 5. Data Sharing

### 5.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

### 5.2 Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect limited data:

- Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob

- AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization

- You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings

- Premium subscribers see no advertisements

## 6. Location Data

### 6.1 How We Use Location

Parking Reminder uses precise GPS location (via `ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`) solely to:

- Capture your current coordinates when you save a parking spot

- Enable navigation back to your parked car

### 6.2 Location Data Protection

- Location is captured **only when you explicitly request it** by tapping the location button

- The app does **not** access your location in the background

- GPS coordinates are stored **locally on your device only** in the app's private database

- Location data is **never transmitted** to any server, cloud service, or third party

- You can delete any parking record and its associated location data at any time

- Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored location data

## 7. Photos and Images

- Photos are captured or selected **only when you explicitly choose** to add a photo to a parking spot

- Photos are stored in the app's private internal storage on your device

- Photos are **never uploaded** to any server or cloud service

- Photos are **never shared** with third parties or used for advertising

- You can delete any parking record and its associated photo at any time

- Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored photos

## 8. Notifications

- Parking Reminder may send local notifications to remind you when your parking meter is about to expire

- Notifications are generated entirely on your device -- no push notification servers are involved

- On Android 13 and above, the app will request your permission before sending notifications

- You can disable notifications at any time through app Settings or your device's notification settings

## 9. Children's Privacy

Parking Reminder is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

## 10. Your Rights and Choices

### 10.1 Access and Control

- You can view all your parking data within the app at any time

- You can delete any individual parking record or clear your entire history

- All data is on your device -- you have full control

### 10.2 Data Deletion

- Delete individual parking records from the History screen

- Clear your active parking spot from the main screen

- Uninstalling the app removes **all** locally stored data (parking records, photos, preferences)

- Since no data is stored in the cloud, no additional deletion requests are necessary

### 10.3 Notifications

- You can disable notifications at any time through app Settings or device Settings

### 10.4 Ad Preferences

- Premium subscription removes all advertisements

- You can opt out of personalized ads via device settings (Settings > Google > Ads)

## 11. GDPR Compliance (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights:

- **Right to access** -- request a copy of your data

- **Right to rectification** -- correct inaccurate data

- **Right to erasure** -- request deletion of your data

- **Right to restrict processing** -- limit how we use your data

- **Right to data portability** -- receive your data in a portable format

- **Right to object** -- object to data processing for marketing

The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent for data processing and personalized advertising in compliance with GDPR.

## 12. Data Retention

- Local data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app

- Analytics data is retained per Google's standard retention policies (14 months)

- Crash reports are retained for 90 days

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:
