## Our approach: your records stay on your phone
Home Maintenance Log is designed to be **local-first**. The homes, assets, maintenance schedules,
service history, costs, photos and receipts you enter are stored **only on your device**, in the
app's private storage. We do **not** upload them to any server, we do **not** require an account,
and no one — not even us — can access or delete your records remotely. If you uninstall the app,
that data is removed with it.
## Information we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account identity.
- We do not collect your location. The app has **no location permission**; regional climate is
selected manually or inferred from your device language settings.
- We do not access your camera roll beyond photos you explicitly pick, and photos you attach stay
on your device.
- We do not upload your maintenance records, receipts, costs, or home/asset details.
## Information collected by third-party services
To keep the app free, we use the following Google services, which may process limited data:
- **Google AdMob** (advertising): may use your device's Advertising ID and coarse location derived
from your IP address to show ads. A consent prompt (Google UMP) is shown where required.
- **Google Play Billing**: processes the optional one-time premium purchase. We never receive your
payment card details.
- **Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics**: collect anonymized crash reports and aggregate app-usage
events to help us fix bugs and improve the app.

## Permissions and why
- **Internet / Network state** — to show ads and check for updates.
- **Notifications** — to deliver local maintenance and warranty reminders (nothing leaves the device).
- **Vibrate** — reminder feedback.
- **Receive boot completed** — to restore your reminders after the device restarts.
- **Billing** — to process the optional premium unlock.
## Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.
- **All of your entries stay on your device.** We operate no server for this data and never receive a copy of it, so there is nothing for us to retain. Your data is kept until you delete the individual entry, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all of it from the device.
- **Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)** — automatically deleted after **90 days**.
- **Analytics data (Firebase Analytics)** — retained in aggregated, non-identifying form for a maximum of **14 months**, then automatically deleted.
- **Support emails** — if you contact us, your message is retained for up to **24 months** after your enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
- **Purchase records** — retained by Google Play for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. We do not hold separate copies.
### How to delete your data
You can delete your data at any time.
**Delete individual entries**
Open any entry in the App and tap Delete. It is removed immediately from the device.
**Uninstall**
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data from your device.
**Request deletion by email**
If you cannot access the App, or you want written confirmation that your data has been erased, email us at **muhammadilyas15@gmail.com** with the subject line **"Home Maintenance Log – Data Deletion Request"**. We will verify the request, delete all associated data, and confirm by email **within 30 days**. There is no charge for this.
## Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
## Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be posted at the URL above with a new date.
