# Privacy Policy for Field Service Tracker

## 1. Introduction
Field Service Tracker ("we", "our", "the app") is an offline-first job and invoice manager for tradespeople such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians and locksmiths. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Field Service Tracker is built to work entirely on your device. We do not operate a user account system, we do not sync your business data to any cloud, and your jobs, customers, invoices and photos never leave your phone unless you choose to share them.
By using Field Service Tracker, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
## 2. Information We Collect
### 2.1 Information You Provide (Stored Only on Your Device)
You enter business and job information which is stored locally on your device and is **not** transmitted to us or any third party:
- Business profile: shop name, phone number, address, logo and currency/tax settings
- Customer details: names, phone numbers, addresses and notes
- Job details: descriptions, schedules, status, time on site and hourly rates
- Materials and pricing: parts, quantities and unit prices
- Invoices and payments: invoice numbers, amounts, totals and payment records
- Photos: before/after and receipt images you attach to jobs
We do not collect or transmit any of this information. It never leaves your device except when **you** explicitly export or share an invoice PDF (for example via WhatsApp or email), in which case it goes only to the recipient you choose.
### 2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- **Advertising identifier:** In the free version, Google AdMob may access your device's advertising ID and limited ad-interaction data to serve and measure advertisements.
- We do **not** use any analytics or crash-reporting SDK. We do not collect device identifiers for our own purposes.
## 3. How We Use Your Information
- Business data you enter is used solely to provide the app's core features on your device: tracking jobs, managing customers, logging materials and time, generating invoices and showing reports.
- The advertising identifier is used by Google AdMob to display advertisements in the free version.
- Google Play Billing is used to process the optional one-time premium purchase.
## 4. Data Storage and Security
### 4.1 Local Storage
- All your business data is stored locally on your device in a private on-device database (Android Room) and in the app's private preferences.
- Photos you attach are stored in the app's private internal storage, accessible only to this app.
- We do not operate any server and do not store copies of your data.
### 4.2 Cloud Storage
- Field Service Tracker does **not** provide cloud backup or sync. No account is required and no business data is uploaded to any server.
### 4.3 Security Measures
- Because your data stays on your device, it is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption).
- Any network communication made by third-party SDKs (advertising, billing) uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
## 5. Data Sharing
### 5.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

- Free-tier users see advertisements served by Google AdMob.
- AdMob may use your advertising identifier for ad personalization and measurement.
- We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request your consent for personalized advertising where required.
- You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
- Premium users see no advertisements.
## 6. Photos and Images
- Photos are captured or selected only when you explicitly choose to add them to a job.
- Photos are stored in the app's private internal storage on your device.
- The app does not request the CAMERA permission; photo capture is delegated to your device's camera app.
- Photos are never uploaded to us or shared with third parties, and are never used for advertising.
- You can delete photos at any time from within the app.
## 7. Permissions We Use
- **INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE:** required to display advertisements, request ad consent, and process the premium purchase. No business data is sent over the network by the app.
- **POST_NOTIFICATIONS:** to show local job reminders that you schedule.
- **FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC:** to keep the on-site job timer running reliably while a job is being timed.
- **RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED:** to restore your scheduled job reminders after the device restarts.
## 8. Children's Privacy
Field Service Tracker is a professional business tool and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
## 9. Your Rights and Choices
### 9.1 Access and Control
- You can view, edit and delete all your data within the app at any time.
- You can generate and share invoice PDFs for your own records.
### 9.2 Data Deletion
- All your data is stored locally. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data, including jobs, customers, invoices and photos.
- There is no cloud copy of your data to delete, because none is created.
### 9.3 Notifications
- You can disable reminders at any time through the app or your device notification settings.
### 9.4 Ad Preferences
- The one-time premium purchase removes all advertisements.
- You can opt out of personalized ads via device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
## 10. GDPR Compliance (European Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data. Since your business data is stored only on your device, you exercise most of these rights directly within the app. The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent for personalized advertising in compliance with GDPR. ## 11. Data Retention
- Local data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- We do not retain any copy of your business data on any server.
- Advertising data handled by Google is retained per Google's standard policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" above and posting the revised policy at its hosted URL. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
