One of my fosters was heading out of town and needed a sitter to take their kittens to clinic. Clinic happens to be at my house, so I volunteered to take them so they'd be here already!! Winnie (light tabby/calico), Callie (dark torti), and Prince (floof ball) arrived the day before clinic. They were bewildered at first- SO MANY PETS HERE?! They didn't want to be approached by the other fur babies, but were ok if they could slide up next to a strange feline if the other kitten/cat didn't react. Callie became my velcro attachment, climbing up on me if I ever stopped in one place for longer than a minute. She spent most of the night sitting on me while I did data entry to prepare for clinic the next morning.
Because I was frantically doing prep work for clinic, I didn't get to spend much quality time with them, but they eventually figured out that none of my cats or fosters were bothered by them, so they stopped being bothered by the others and settled in quite nicely.
The next day we had wellness clinic at my house. All of the fosters arrive for 10-20 minute appointments to get vaccinations, microchips, and health checks. People and kittens/puppies are coming and going all day- and we have a small crew of volunteers making things go smoothly. I mostly do data- entering all of the treatments and vaccinations into the adoption system. Halfway through the day I felt tiny paws gently tap tap, then climb up on my feet. Little Prince made himself comfortable and sat with me for quite some time!
Not long after clinic, their foster came to pick them up- but the busy day tired them out so they found the bread bed... you could say, they were TOAST. HAHAHA
During clinic, we did discover that Prince was a girl... so her foster renamed her Diva when she picked her up, lol. It was a short visit, but I loved meeting these sweet babies!
