Mushroom Risotto

Mushroom Risotto, or Rissi, also accepts Caramel Macchiato as a name. My roommate fell in love with her, but HATES fungai and refuses to call her Mushroom. I told my roomie she could name her if she adopted her, but she's satisfied just enjoying my cats and fosters while I have them.

Rissi doesn't care what she's called as long as she gets some cuddles. She loves being held or perching on top of her humans. She's strangely fascinated with my nostrils and often tries to stick her entire head inside my nose for reasons I cannot comprehend. However, though she'll give kisses to almost anyone, she's not quite so insistent about getting into stranger nostrils, so I don't worry about this weird little habit much.

During our weeks of regular bathing, we had a routine. I'd bath one, then I'd rub them down uhile the husband held a hair dryer for us, then we'd purrito them and he'd hold them until they warmed up while I bathed the next one. The boys would stay while he was just holding them, waiting for me to bath their sibling, then wiggle out as soon as he started helping with the drying process. But Rissi loved being a purrito and would just sink lower and lower in her purrito as he carried her around. He could tuck her under his arm like a football if he needed to do something else and she's just continue snoozing.

Sweet and cuddly doesn't mean she's a pushover. Rissi is the only girl and she's the runt, but she's definitely the boss of the applesauce during playtime. She is always the first to explore new areas and loves to wrestle. I won't say she instigates trouble with her brothers by pouncing on their heads or chewing on their tails, but I won't NOT say it either...

I like to tease my husband that Rissi loves me best, but truthfully she loves LOVE best. I spend more time in the kitten room so she's with me a lot and is used to me. Though my friends and family who mainly know the kittens through my posts or stories love derpy Beefcake, several visitors who visit them in person fall in love with Rissi. This young lady walked in and spied Rissi in the first instant and fell deeply in love. She picked up Rissi and cuddled her for the entire visit. Rissi blissed out the entire time.

It's just bananas how cute Rissi is. Don't you find her very a-peel-ing?
