Costume closet for cats? Of course I have one... doesn't everyone? My favorite piece, by far, were some shiny red dragon wings I picked up last year. After finishing adoption interviews at petsmart recently, I spotted a light blue pair. Possibly in some alternate universe I could have admired them and walked away.
But I didn't. I bought them and 2 other costumes and made gleeful plans. Before we could harrass, I mean... dress the kittens up, we had a dinner with another foster. I mentioned my costume purchase while my husband, who might wish we lived in that alternate universe in which I have more impulse control, rolled his eyes. That prompted me to exclaim how fun it would be to have them dressed up as two dragons and then add more pictures of them as knights fighting their dragon selves. The husband chased his eyes down the restaurant floor but my foster friend said she couldn't wait to see it. So... what was really just a passing thought became something I had to attempt.
The Christmas costumes didn't fit quite as well
As I started working on my photo I realized Captain blended into the brown blanket, so he had an extra picture session. He liked to do the cat walk in his wings.
I tried to get a pic of Sergeant Sassy Pants that would work as a knight, but she was having NONE of it. Captain doesn't care... he'll fight dragons solo all day and never notice he's been abandoned. There's a very good reason I'm an SLP and kitten foster, and not a professional photoshopper... but it makes me giggle anway!
