Pumpernickel is one of the most easy going kittens I've met- so easy to love! He is playful and fun... but when it's nap time, he takes it very seriously. His siblings can pounce on his belly, chew on his legs, clean out his ears, roll over his face... Pumpernickel snoozes on.
He's such a cuddler! If he's not in a kitten pile (usually buried on the bottom), he's nearly always with his humans.
He has loved everyone he's met, fleshy or furry. When I took in a second litter of terrified feral kittens, Pumpernickel was the first one they trusted. Shortly into a supervised visit after they were out of quarantine, they stopped cowering in a corner and accepted his comforting, non-threatening love and attention.
They finally began cuddling him. When it was time to meet the puppies, the puzzle litter was terrified all over again, until they watched Pumpernickel casually saunter by the puppies with no fear. Pumpernickel showed them that a happy home is nothing to fear- he was instrumental in helping them relinquish their terror.
6/5/21 Pumpernickel really missed his brother when his brother was isolated for monitoring. They're not truly a "bonded" pair, but they do love to play, nap, and do all the things together.
