The past month has been a blur. Every time I have a little bit to update my blog, I end up being covered in kittens. Have you ever tried to type and select photos and videos with kittens in your lap, leaning on your arms, crawling up your chest, and nuzzling into the hoodie of your oodie?? If you have done this with any success, please let me know how!! I sat this way for 2 hours and didn't even finish a single paragraph.
These babies are a sweet batch of kittens- extremely cuddly and eager for attention. In fact, they will get your attention whether you're ready to give it or not. When I'm home, it is very rare to not have at least one carb kitten nearby or on me. If I'm washing dishes, they're standing on the sink. If I'm going potty, they're in my lap. Laying in bed, they're curled up around my head. If I'm eating or cooking food, they're either on my feet or climbing.
Literally, climbing. They see my housecats on my shoulders and want to be up there too. But they don't seem to recognize that the housecats leap up without much (if any) use of claws. Carb kittens don't even try to jump... they climb up... pants or not.
When not climbing or on humans, they're nearly always in kitten piles. I really hope they go to homes with other pets or a family that is home a lot.
The carbs travel well and enjoy meeting strangers. They traveled to my mom's house to visit with her cat, Beignet, in his new outdoor kitten tower.
My friendly, social, fearless carb kittens were instrumental in helping my new litter of fraidy cats settle. The puzzle litter trembled and hid a lot when they arrived. They'd eventually cuddle with me, but often hid whenever I first entered the room. When they finally got out of quarantine, they carefully watched the carbs gallivant around the room, completely unbothered by humans or puppies. Within 30 minutes, they left their fears behind and became fast friends with the carbs and my housecat, Wicket.
Last night after my driveway zumba class, two of the dancers came in to pet kittens and chat. Eventually I got hungry, so I brought out some crackers, deli meats, and cheese. We were thrilled when the carbs decided to transform themselves into crackers. Particularly Ciabazooka!!
