Raff

Raff was the last kitten to trust me, but a bit of chicken filet changed his mind. quickly and permanently. He was spitting mad when I dragged him out from under the furniture., wiggling and hissing until I managed to get the chicken close enough to his nose that he could smell it. It was love at first bite.

After that Raff started or joined every lap time cuddle session and started his motor. He'd start purring without even being touched. He loves cuddles with everyone,.

Raff is the most playful of his siblings. Now that he knows good food is readily available, he's content to have a nibble then run off to play. The odd thing is he is the biggest, by a serious margin. Raff hit the 2lb mark when his little brother Jetsam was barely a pound. I love seeing them next to each other. I love even more when tiny Jet bosses Raff around. Raff is the biggest pushover!

6/10/22 update

Raff is tricky to photograph. I estimate I've deleted hundreds of black blob or black blur pictures. I'm notoriously terrible at photographing black kittens anyway... and Raff is one of the most active voids I've tried to capture in photos. I usually delete them immediately... I already had to upgrade my photo storage twice... but I saved a sample of of 90% of my Raff pictures.

Luckily I don't need to capture the perfect shot to get him adopted, because he found a home! A family I have known for years came by to meet kittens. The kids friended me on Facebook and read through the blog before they arrived. They were already pretty obsessed with Jetsam. But after meeting the babies, the 3 kids agreed Raff was pretty awesome too and it didn't take much effort to convince their parents that 2 kittens are better than 1. They've come back to visit while they wait for Jet to grow.... and wait... and wait....

To make it easier, I shared my google Junkpile album with the girls. Currently, there are 1977 pictures and videos in there- so they have access to way more cuteness than I post. I spent 2 days taking photos with a green/blue screen so I could make their Junkpile group picture. Emily saw the pictures drop into the album and made my morning brighter by sending me a series of photoshops!

Knowing that I'll have access to Raff and Jetsam updates for life makes my day!
