Heather, another IBR volunteer is a photographer and asked us fosters if we wanted a photo shoot. Since my desire for kitten pictures significantly overpowers my photography skills, I jumped at the chance! It was so much fun and Heather got some amazing shots, despite the lack of cooperation from the kittens and my housecats!

Carb kittens had to get some photos on my bread bed. They scattered off of the bed like crumbs, but the pictures came out 100% upper crust.
BUt I'm completely bananas over these pictures.... the yellow is a great contrast for their coloring. The little paws over the side and some of the facial expressions are priceless. I'm pretty sure Heather began falling in love with Brioche through the lens of her upside down solo pictures.
Eventually, 3 kittens grew weary of modeling and passed completely out- we could poke and pose them as twitched their tiny kitten toes. But Pumpernickle refused to miss a single moment to shine. Each time he felt himself sliding into sleep he'd wiggle himself awake.
I usually dislike photos of myself, but I find myself admiring the sweet connection Heather caught while I attempted to lull Pumpernickle into sleep.
Heather stayed longer than she had planned, camera ready, trying to catch Pumpernickle's sleepy photo before admitting defeat and packing up. She managed to replace my nosey house cats with her accessories in her equipment bag (sorry for all the extra fur in there, Heather!) and was almost out the door when Pumpernickle's finally curled up.
The babies slept the rest of the day. I guess modeling is exhausting work!
