A New App Language and Fresh Voices

Belgium-French Speakers, we have great news for you: you can now get your driving instructions in Belgium-French!

Also, 4 new Arabic voices are now live in the app! These voices are gender specific, to make female and male drivers feel welcome.

Thanks to our dear community for all your help!

September’s Meetups

During September, we held Waze Cafes in Ireland, Venezuela, Australia and Trinidad and Tobago. Thank you for organizing these fun Cafes!

We hosted a Local Meetup in Southeast Brazil, and got to meet 120 community members from all over Europe, Middle East and Africa, in the EMEA Mega Meetup! Thank you for coming out to meet us and share your love of Waze ♥️

Did you Make it Into the Mega Mappers group?

We announced the first batch of Mega Mappers: L4+ editors who made outstanding contributions to the map during the first half of the year! Are you on the list?

The US Plains Community Supports World Record Event

Community members from Nebraska collaborated with local law enforcement to manage traffic for a sporting event, by overseeing closures which helped navigate the tens of thousands of spectators safely.

The event shattered college, US and WORLD attendance records for women's sporting events, with 92,003 fans!

The UK Community Quickly Responded to a New Law

Ever change the speed limit for more than 100K segments in a very short time? The UK Community did! This fantastic community was notified of an upcoming change in regulation, and went above and beyond to update the map! They made sure that local drivers knew the updated speed limit through Waze, right when the new law went into effect. Thank you for everything you do!

Back to School Campaign in Belgium

The Belgian Community and the Waze for Good program launched a 'Back to School' campaign to raise awareness amongst drivers, to slow down and take extra care on the road near schools. The alerts were shown more than 12 million times, in both French and Dutch!
