Waze Map Editor Updates

Log in to the Waze Map Editor to enjoy some of the latest features added, like a brand new way to add Events to your local map and the ability to share your displayed layers along with a permalink! Follow the WME forum to know of new features as soon as they're released!

Waze addresses are now prioritized in autocomplete!

Most of us Waze users prefer to use the app's autocomplete search. For a few years now, our dedicated Editors community have requested to prioritize Waze-based addresses so that WME edits are better reflected in the autocomplete results. We're happy to share that this update is now available worldwide - in case a location contains both a Waze-based address and a Google Address, the Waze address will be prioritized! Read more about it in this forum post.

First Online Mega Meetup of 2021 - North America!

We still can't meet face to face, so we're kicking off Mega Meetup season with the Online North American Meetup, coming up on February 21st! Read more in this forum post or the Meetup's site.

Falcon and Small Businesses MapRaids - Thank you!

A huge thank you to all the community members who joined the MapRaids for Falcon and Small Businesses!

Thanks to the 700+ community members who participated in the Falcon Raid, 2.5 million (!) segments, are now ready for Falcon Snapper!

During the Small Business raid, you supported 400+ local businesses listings in 25 different countries by updating their information on the map! Want to add or edit a place? Here's how!

Lots of Thank You's in 2020!

During the last month of 2020, we held many activities around kindness and appreciation, all grouped under "Kindness Month". Two special highlights were this colorful Recognition Board, where dear community members thanked each other, and this fun staff video, in which the Communities team thanked you!

Meet a Top Contributor - Jorge from Costa Rica

Jorge took up editing in 2015, looking to contribute to other app users and he maintains the same enthusiasm since, so it's no surprise that today he acts as a Local Champ and CCP coordinator. Jorge says he's proud about being able to help others, and is happy to be a part of this community of altruistic people who help others without expecting anything in return. When he's not busy with Waze, Jorge works as a lawyer and doctor. While his friends and family still don't fully understand his many activities around Waze, they totally support him.

Jorge shared that "as a community, we must be a constant companion and work together to improve waze every day." Thank you, Jorge!

Brazilian Editors Tool Looking for a New Owner

5 years ago, the Brazillian Editor named @edulg created a wonderful tool to help his local editors locate and keep track of Map Problems. This popular tool is used by many and is very helpful in a big country like Brazil.

After kindly taking the time to create and maintain the tool for so long, edulg is looking to hand over the tool to a new owner, or it will be deactivated. If you'd like to take ownership of this helpful tool, please reach out to edulg or the Brazillian community leaders.

We want to hear from you :)
