What’s New on WME?
Waze chat is now on WME! This means you can carry your conversations between the Waze app, Wazeopedia, and WME along with other Waze platforms!
Also, the Save flow now shows the changed element instead of the action made. Much clearer, right? Read more.
August Meetups
Wow! August was packed with exciting community gatherings: Fun and intimate Waze Cafes were held in Canada, Moldova, Malaysian, Nicaragua, Philippines, and a US region. The BeNeLux community had a Local Meetup.
3 Regional meetups were held in Latam: Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay hosted one. Chile, Perú, Bolivia and Ecuador hosted another and the last one brought together community members from Colombia and Venezuela.
It was so great to see everyone, thank you for joining!
Portugal Supporting the Pope’s Visit
The editors community in Portugal led a special effort this August: A major event called World Youth Day, took place in Lisbon, with the presence of the Pope.
Our dear editors community created traffic events, mapped parking lots and took shifts in the official Traffic Control Room to support 1.5M visitors.
We’re all inspired by your amazing contributions, thank you for everything you do!
WME Training Videos - Places and House Numbers
Do you ever get asked about mapping Places or House Numbers? We’re happy to share that we now have 2 new training videos to support new editors on those topics! We invite you to watch the new videos and share them with anyone who will find them helpful: Places, House Numbers.
Elections in Ecuador
The community in Ecuador collaborated with the Local authorities to support the presidential elections by adding 450 closures! Thanks to these amazing contributions, the authorities encouraged drivers to use Waze when driving to the ballots. That’s so awesome, thank you dear community members!
