What’s New on WME?
A new community suggestion was implemented recently: When duplicating a closure, the start and end times will stay the same, saving editors time on each closure! Additionally, you can now filter the Issue Tracker by source. Finally, you can now review Google’s Feedback for Koi Fish suggestions. Read more in the Forum.
Route Settings Refresh
Check out the Trip Overview screen to see the new Route Settings menu, offering a better way to make changes before and during your trip. It’s easier and clearer than ever before!
Customized Routes for Electrical Vehicles
We’re happy to share that you can now choose your EV Plug and Network to have Waze direct you to the right charging stations along your route! Use the Settings menu to enable EV mode and customize your route. Thanks to every editor that helped us map charging stations!
July Meetups
July Meetups were all about keeping it local! The UK and Ireland, Indonesia, 2 regions in the US, and Malaysia all hosted local meetups. We love to see everyone getting to know the other editors they collaborate more closely with. We can’t wait for even more Meetups in August!
New Community Role
Meet our new community role: Culture Chairs! Culture Chairs are our social planners who love to coordinate events and connect with new and existing editors. Reach out to your Coordinator if you’re interested in being a Culture Chair.
David, Our New French TTS Voice!
We have good news for all of our French speakers: a new TTS voice is now available. David is an especially unique voice, recorded by a former editor that was instrumental in building our current French community. Meet David and drive with him today!
Tour de France Closures
Once again, Waze was an official Tour de France partner! 27 editors in France and Spain created 55 traffic events and 50,000 road closures for the race! Wow, we’re blown away by the impact your contributions have on people around the world! Thanks to everyone who made this partnership a success!
