The Issue Tracker is now Live!

What an exciting time to be a Waze Map Editor!

Wazers around the world report map issues when they run into outdated road details. Our Map Editors get those reports and use them to update the map. For a long time, our dear editors have asked to be able to filter these, and now… Introducing: Issue Tracker! Editors can now filter all kinds of map issues by type, status, number of comments and more! Read more here.

What’s New on WME?

In addition to the exciting Issue Tracker, we also launched the new left-side panel for WME which now has new shortcuts, an improved layout for faster editing and navigating between features and more! If you use scripts for WME, you’ll be glad to hear we also added a new section dedicated to scripts! Thanks to the WME Beta Pirates for all your feedback. Read all about it in this forum post.

The Electric Vehicle Revolution is Growing

Last month, we wrote about adding EV Charging Stations to WME. Since then, over 20 countries mapped 50% of their local charging stations! Our community has been key in making this happen and we can’t thank you enough. Learn more about mapping your country’s electrical vehicle charging stations in our latest Forum post.

An Improved App Experience is Coming!

The Waze app refresh is finally here, rolling out gradually and making Waze look easier and breezier!! Along with reworking the app’s look and feel, we’ve improved trip planning, removed clunky flows, and fixed up the settings menu, plus a ton of other amazing adjustments. Over the next few months, the refresh will become available to all Waze users!

March Meetups

Wow, what a great Mega Meetup we had with our dear APAC Communities! Dozens of community members flew in for 2.5 days of fun activities, staff and community presentations, and more! Thanks to everyone who joined us.

During March, we also had Waze Cafes in Moldova, Belgium, Germany, and Colombia, a Caribbean & Central America Regional Meetup, and several US Regional Meetups. The Slovakia & Czech Republic Local Meetup is happening this weekend! It’s so great to see you all!

KoiFish Update and Next Steps!

Thank you to all the communities who ran KoiFish MapRaids! You reviewed over half a million map suggestions and created almost 200,000 new segments! That’s amazing! Want to review map suggestions? You don’t need to wait for a Map Raid! Read this post! Now countries who reviewed most of their suggestions can review another road type: Unpaved! Stay tuned for more details.

The Brazilian Community and Carnaval!

While Carnaval in Brazil is a remarkable experience, it’s also a major traffic event stopping metros and affecting millions. Our phenomenal community in Brazil trained local partners on closures well in advance, so that they could map everything in time. Community members even joined traffic control centers to assist authorities. Thank you dear community members!
