Hello Editors!

It's time for the monthly Editors Community Newsletter!

Thank you for all your contributions and enjoy your reading :)

Waze Communities Team.

What’s New on WME?

We implemented two community suggestions with the latest WME release: Buttons for Road details for compact mode and reasoning for mandatory street names. We’d like to thank Bedo2991 and Linguasaltitante for their suggestions! Read more here.

Report a Map Issue in the Support Form

The general Report an Issue (Support) form in Waze now contains an option to Report a Map Issue! This new flow helps Wazers pinpoint the location of the map issue, after they finish their drive. Read this post for more information on this exciting development!

In-Car and EV featured at Google I/O Conference

Waze’s new electric vehicle feature for in-car was launched at the recent Google I/O Conference, along with Waze availability on all cars with Google built-in (AAOS) - and we would like to share this honor with you! These two announcements were showcased in front of the world and would not be possible without the Waze community. We’d like to thank all of the community members who have contributed feedback, participated in focus groups, and helped to map out EV Charging Stations. Check out our participation in Android Auto's technical session, with a very special shout-out to you - our incredible community!

May Office Hours - Reporting Menu and App Map

Join us on May 28th on Waze Communities Office Hours as we explore Waze’s upcoming new Reporting Menu and App Map! We’ll be hearing from the Insights & Safety Squad and the Client Map & Driving Squad on some of the biggest changes coming to the Waze App later this year. Don’t miss out - click here to register!

What do you think of the Waze Communities?

It’s time for the annual survey, and this year, we shortened it and combined the Beta and Editor surveys!

Mexico Gas Feed

Kudos to our community in Mexico, and especially carloslaso, who took a new feed live to enable regular gas price updates! This feed enriches Waze with data from 2 Waze Environments: NA and ROW, and gives incredibly accurate daily price updates. Learn more about gas feeds here. Felicidades!

Partners Road Closure Tutorial

In a big move for Partners everywhere, a new WME tutorial teaches how to easily add closures and events! This tutorial empowers Partners to update the map and offer more accurate information to Wazers everywhere. Watch it here!

In Memoriam: TSWA

The Waze Communities mourn the passing of TWSA, Tom from Austria, and send deepest condolences to his friends and family. TSWA was an active part of the Waze Communities for over 13 years, and acted as a local champ in Austria, a Global Champ, and a beloved Beta tester. The Community feels this loss deeply. May he rest in peace.
