Community achievements
Crisis response for Hurricanes Helene and Milton
Over 40 editors and 5 Waze partners in the US jumped into action during Hurricanes Helene and Milton. 52 evacuation zones and 482 emergency shelters were added to the map, and over 3M users got alerts. A huge thank you to our community for keeping Wazers safe during the storms. Become a Waze First Responder.
India maps 3K gas stations in 4 days
The Indian community completed a gas station map raid in Bihar state. A dedicated group of editors mapped an impressive 3,100 gas stations and verified another 3,344 in just four days! We're incredibly proud of them and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next!
Star of the Month
Ldriveskier is one of our most prolific editors in North America. She’s the Assistant Coordinator for the US Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes regions and a Global Champ since 2022. Ldriveskier is always there to help, whether it’s setting up Discord for other countries or contributing to Wazeopedia.
In honor of her dedication to the Waze community, we are proud to name our new default US English voice after Ldriveskier’s real name - Lisa! Now millions of Waze drivers will be guided by her inspiration too. Listen to Lisa.
Meetups and events
Editors meet in Ireland
The Irish Community came together in Portaloise, Ireland to get to know each other and discuss all things Waze. More meetups and Waze Cafes took place in the US, Columbia, Switzerland and Belgium! See more in the Waze Cafe Gallery.
