China Education Technology Association (CAET, 中国教育技术协会) is a national, non-profit, industry association in China focused on educational technology and education informatization; it was established in 1991 and was renamed in November 2002 from the former China Electro-education Association, and it positions itself as a platform that convenes schools, education-related management bodies, social organizations, enterprises, and education practitioners to support research, application, and practice in educational technology and to serve members while aligning with national education and informatization policies. In the context of digital humans, CAET has recently been acting as an organizer and standard-setting convenor by running the third “Education Digital Human Competition” (第三届“教育数字人大赛) in 2026 under the theme “My Story With the Digital Human,” framing “education digital humans” as AI-driven, scenario-based applications intended to demonstrate new forms of AI-enabled teaching, learning, and service delivery through practical cases and demonstrations, with participation managed via CAET’s official channels and a dedicated competition portal. (The Stage 2 final showcase and awards, with the “My Story With the Digital Human” conference, is planned for May 2026 in Hangzhou.)
