白水木    

• Messerschmidia argentea (L.) Johnston.

• 科 名：紫草科(Boraginaceae)

• 屬名：紫丹屬(Tournefortia)

• 別名：白水草、水草、山埔姜、山草、銀丹  

• 原產地：中國海南島、西沙群島及臺灣。熱帶亞洲、馬達加斯加、馬來西亞、熱帶澳洲、日本、越南及斯里蘭卡及太平洋諸島有分佈。

• 分布：生長在臺灣南北兩端沿海及蘭嶼、綠島的海濱珊瑚礁上、沙灘上

• Origin：China's Hainan Island, Xisha Islands and Taiwan. It is distributed in tropical Asia, Madagascar, Malaysia, tropical Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the Pacific islands.

• Distribution: grows on the coastal coral reefs and beaches of the north and south ends of Taiwan, Orchid Island and Green Island.
