習性:通常出現於平地至低海拔之溪流、水田、魚塭、沼澤、河口、沙洲地帶。性群棲，覓食時，常以腳探入水中擾動後補食驚嚇中之魚。偶於飛行時發出似「嘎-嘎-」之沙啞喉音

Habits: It usually occurs in streams, paddy fields, fish fields, swamps, estuaries, sandbanks from flat to low altitude. Sexual habitats, when foraging, often use their feet to dive into the water to disturb the fish in distress after feeding. Occasional hoarse throat sounds like "ga-ga-" when flying
