習性:水雉為留鳥，棲息於開曠之淡水沼澤地，喜歡棲息在有菱角、芡實、睡蓮等浮水植物的水域中。腳、爪、趾都很長，體態輕盈，可以很輕巧的在水生植物上行走，加上黑色的長尾羽，三三兩兩佇立在水面植物上，引人注目。主食菱角田中的水生昆蟲或浮游生物。海拔分布於0至150公尺。

Habits: The pheasant is a resident bird, inhabiting open freshwater swamps. It likes to inhabit waters with floating plants such as water chestnuts, gonaceae, and water lilies. The feet, claws, and toes are all long and light in posture, and can walk on aquatic plants very lightly. With the long black tail feathers, they stand on the water plants in twos and threes, attracting attention. Staple aquatic insects or plankton in the water chestnut field. Altitude ranges from 0 to 150 meters.
