Next in our BOLLI's BSO series!
We have obtained discounted tickets to hear BSO artist-in-residence Augustin Hadelich perform Thomas Adès's Aquifer and Concentric Paths for violin and orchestra, as well as Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, Pastoral. The recent orchestra work Aquifer joins other Adès works in depicting the dynamism of the natural world, here referencing geological structures that store and release water. The piece reflects the static, flowing, and surging properties of water. As with love and spirituality, artists throughout history have responded to nature through their art. Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, Pastoral, is the composer’s joyous response to a day spent in the countryside.
Discounted orchestra seats are priced at $53.10, payable to Jennifer Coplon via Venmo or Zelle no later than February 11. Lunch at 11: 30 at The Westland around the corner from Symphony. For more information, contact Jennifer at jencoplon@gmail.com
