Summer fun day July 17th

Welcome to our newsletter all about the fun day on 17th July, held at Didsbury Sports Ground on Ford Lane. Free entry!

You’ll find details about our fun run, Bake-off competition, and how you could win £200 of travel vouchers courtesy of Emma Forrester from Travel Counsellors! PLUS we have an Amazon Fire tablet and loads of other great prizes. The raffle is being matched funded by Barclays thanks to Glenn Colville and Tony Meredith. Read on for details.

Purchase tickets and register for events on ParentPay

You can now buy raffle tickets and bouncy castle wristbands on ParentPay. You can also register to take part in the Fun Run. We've encountered a problem with registering for Bake-off so please use this registration form instead.

None of this happens by magic - it's a team effort so please volunteer!

Our fun day is a celebration! The first event of its kind since 2019. Everyone is invited. BUT we need VOLUNTEERS to make it happen. If you can help on 8th July when we get the prizes for the stalls organised or on the 17th then we’d love to hear from you. There are also small jobs that need to be done before the event - like buy 30 coconuts! Just an hour is all we need! CONTACT beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com

8th July non-uniform donation day!

We can’t run a tombola without prizes so on 8th July we’ll have a non-uniform day. In return please bring one of the following items.

We DO NOT expect you to buy something especially. If you don't have anything suitable then send in an item for the food bank:

Nursery and reception - lucky dip prizes. A great way to pass on unwanted items from party bags!

Year 1 - tombola items - think unwanted toiletries or gardening gift selections, stationery/ colouring sets etc. Must be new.

Year 2 - tombola or food bank item

Year 3 - GOOD condition second-hand book or toy for the stall Parrs Wood will run or small multipack of sweets (preferably not chocolate so it doesn't melt on the day)

Year 4 - bottles for the bottlebola. It can be a bottle of shampoo or champagne, we don't care as long as it is unopened and in date.

Year 5 - bottlebola or food bank item

Year 6 - good condition second-hand book or toy, or small multipack of sweets (preferably not chocolate)

If you can help organise the donations straight after drop off 8th July we'd be very grateful for the help!

Sunflower competition - get your entries in!

If you bought sunflower seeds from the PTA then they should be growing into strong tall plants. At the fun day, we'll announce who has grown the tallest one.

How to enter:

Watch this video of Eddie and Bernadette showing us how to measure your plant. Film yourself measuring your plant and send it to beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com with the subject ‘Sunflower competition’ and include your child's name and year group in the email so we can check you against our list of people who bought seeds. We'll reply when we've received your video.

Closing date is 5pm Wednesday 13th July so we can verify the winning heights in time for fun day. GOOD LUCK
