February #2

We start this newsletter with exciting news! The AV system is going into the Junior school as we write. Your contributions have helped make this happen. THANK YOU!

Read on for info about movie night, World Book Day, a reminder on Mother's Day primroses and find out how we've raised a further £1,433 this month through matched funding, Stamptastic and Amazion Smiles!

Yes! It's movie night tonight!

Trolls and Abominable are the movie picks. Doors open 5pm - main entrance for the younger kids, and side door on the nursery playground for the older ones. Collection (aiming for) 6:45.

Bring a cushion and a water bottle, but no other food please as we are managing allergies. It can get hot in the main hall so we recommend layers.

WAIT LIST: we have people on the junior wait list. If you can no longer come please email us ASAP.

PLEASE TELL US IF YOUR CHILD IS AT AFTERSCHOOL CLUB.

THANKS for supporting this event so enthusiastically, and to our vounteers who are helping to make it happen!

If you are a volunteer please come at 4:45 to help set up. You can bring your child in with you.

Last chance to order Mother's Day primroses!

For just £1.50 you can get the important lady in your life a primrose to show how much you care. They will be wrapped and delivered to class on March 20th. Orders must be in by Monday night to your school office or you can order online https://app.ptasocial.com/register/beaver-road-pta

Pictured: Last year's gorgeous selection. We know they will be just as beautiful this year.

World Book Day next week! 5th March

We're delighted to announce that we have organised an incredible prize for one lucky child to win , thanks to illustrator Nick Sharratt*. It's a signed picture he drew at a special event at the Lowry last year. Mrs Noden will be running a competition to win this, and we have also donated a super assortment of books to win - stay tuned in class for details!

We still need second hand books for our sale to mark World Book Day. It will be held at coffee morning on Friday 6th 9-10am and we're hoping to repeat it after school (details and venue TBC). Contact us with donation please beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com. Most books will be a £1 and any very well loved ones will be free with a purchase.

*Paul at The Picture house helped with professional framing - he's a super chap and provides an excellent service. Find him on Barlow Moor Road.

MATCHED FUNDING, STAMPTASTIC and AMAZON raise £1,433!

We are super excited that two parents from the first school have helped with matched funding. Natalie Strange's employer Barclays has matched the £1000 from the Christmas Bar - Natalie ran this with her friends at the Christmas fair. Lauren Fulton's employer Santander has matched £300 from the name the puppy and adopt a bear stall that she helped organise. WOOHOO!! Can you help us achieve more matched funding? Please get in touch! More info here
