October half term 2020

Phew, half term is almost in reach! To help with things to do over the break we’re running Halloween treasure hunts around Fog Lane and the Heatons. Thanks for all your positive feedback so far!

**NEW We’ve also teamed up with Dough Re Me to raise money when you get a Halloween spooky pizza and creepy cookie making kit delivered to your door. Read on for details.

After half term we'll send zoom meeting details for the AGM on 4th November.

Have a restful, safe break.

ps if you are getting ahead on Christmas shopping please think about using Golden Giving or signing up to Amazon Smile so we can get a donation. Friends and family can do it too! Details at the end of the newsletter.

Christmas cards raise £998 & counting

Thanks for all your Christmas card designs. They are brilliant!

We’re waiting for official confirmation but together you’ve raised £998. Kate cleverly negotiated a bonus for us so we'll see this total boosted to tip us well over the £1000 mark.

Orders are now on their way. Your goodies will arrive back later in November, and come home via book bags.

Help with prizes

We've started planning our Christmas fundraising.

Raffle: Can your business help with a prize? In the past we've had vouchers for restaurants, cafes and shops, as well as gift sets, toys and hampers. We're also looking for a top prize. PJK donated £100 cash last year and Claro Software donated a laptop for our summer fair in return for advertising. Could your business help?

Kids' prizes: We'd also like to give children in every class the chance to win something. Instead of asking for tombola goodies this year, we're asking for donations of chocolate Father Christmases or selection boxes, new boxes of Lego, puzzles, books or games. Can you pick something up on your next shop?

Email us at beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com if you can help with either.

To celebrate it’s donating 10% of all the orders families of Beaver Road make to the PTA.

Halloween treasure hunts - all proceeds go towards buying books

It’s great to see so many of you doing the treasure hunts we've set up around Fog Lane park (walking trail) and the Heatons (cycle). We've already made £180!

They are available to buy on PTA Social until the end of half term. £3 for one hunt of £5 for both.

Each hunt will give you clues to a Halloween inspired code word or phrase. Send it back by the end of 2nd November and we'll enter you into the draw for the goodie bag on 3rd November.
