March 2020

We're kicking off with some news of funds we have raised recently: the book sale made £170 and our Movie night made £622!

These are brilliant boosts to the fundraising. This time we had the expense of the annual movie licence to factor in to movie night costs, but when you add the totals to the second hand uniform sale on parents evening, and the money raised through primroses, we've made around £900 this term!

Don't forget Sam and Kate are stepping down in the autumn. If you think taking on the full range of PTA activities might be too much for you but you'd like to do something, then why not just run a movie night once every half term? If you ran 5-6 a year then we think you could make between £3,500 - £4000. That would still make a big difference to the playgrounds and learning expriences the children have access to. Welcome to Mrs Jackson! Tina Jackson, Tiger's reception teacher, has been appointed as the school's new parent partnership champion while Mrs Horan is on maternity leave. Tina will be helping us with PTA events in the future. Please give her your full support!

GET YOUR BEDDING PLANT ORDERS IN!

Please get your bedding plant orders in by the Easter Holidays - absolute cut off is Wednesday 22nd April (the week we come back). Collection is May 2nd, perfect timing for the bank holiday. We'll be at the Beaver Road main entrance from 8:30am until 10am on 2nd.

Thanks to everyone who has ordered online already - it's a huge help as it reduces the paperwork. Don't worry if you still want to order using the form sent out in book bags, that's fine. Drop them into the office with the right money or a cheque made payable to Beaver Road PTA.

Here's the link for online orders

Sam had never ordered plants through the PTA until last year and was really impressed by the quality and the price. Her garden looked amazing all summer, definitely better value than the DIY stores!

Mother's Day primroses

Primroses will be delivered next week and wrapped on Thursday morning and delivered to class. In anticipation of a few last minute buys, we've ordered some extra, which will be available to buy on Friday morning from outside the main office at the first school at drop off. £1.50 each. Be quick - they went in about 3 minutes last year!

Please let us know if you can spend 30 minutes helping us wrap the primroses - beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com

Eggcellent competition coming your way!

You guys loved the Easter colouring competition last year so we're bringing it back. Look out for a design in book bags next week. Simply create your best egg design and hand it into the office with £1. Winners will get an Easter egg. There's one egg per year group up for grabs, including Creme Egg, Mini Eggs, Diary Milk Buttons and Freddo Faces eggs.

Mrs Reeve will judge the entries blind so she won't know who has done which design, and the winners will be annoucned before the end of term. Closing date is 30th March. Good Luck!

Egg hunt planned for the end of term!

We'll be holding an egg hunt and second hand uniform sale at the end of term. Stay tuned for details, and please let us know if you have good condition uniform to donate by emailing us at beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com
