Artist impression of the slide. Funds needed cover ground work, the slide, construction and erecting a large teepee for outdoor learning.

Why are we doing all this?

The last couple of years we have focused our efforts on improving the playgrounds at the first school. It's now time to turn our attention to the juniors.

We need £25,000 to put in a giant slide and transform the woodland into a play and outdoor learning area with teepee and bird hide. Every penny counts!

Can you help match fund our move night? Is your employer on this list? Please let us know if you can help!

Movie nights are back!

HOME ALONE Years 4-6 : Monday 6th December straight after school in the Junior hall. You will pick up 5:15

ARTHUR CHRISTMAS Years 1-3: Monday 13th December, straight after school in the first school hall. You will pick up 5:30

As you can imagine we have a lot of risk assessments to do at the moment, so we are immensely grateful that the teaching team will run the event for us. This has determined the dates and means it has to happen straight after school.

On the day, children need to bring a cushion, water bottle and a healthy snack (NO NUTS) to keep them going. Tickets include a chocolate wafer style treat.

Tickets will soon be available to buy on Parent Pay. You must have a ticket to attend.

Reception and Nursery - day time, 10th December

Attending a movie night can be very overwhelming for the little ones. But we don't want them to miss out! So on 10th December they will have the same experience but during the day. You still need to buy a ticket as they will receive a treat too.

How much?

Tickets are £3 but you'll see on Parent Pay an option to 'Pay it forward' with a £5 ticket.

Why do you have two prices? A considerable percentage of our families are now struggling to make ends meet. We want to make this event as inclusive as we can, so if you can afford to pay more than £3 then please consider buying a £4 or £5 ticket and the extra will be used to 'pay it forward' and go towards another child's ticket. Any surplus funds will be invested in playground projects.

If you are on Pupil Premium, or need help related to applying for Pupil Premium, please contact Miss Ulett-Milne and she can help / make arrangements for your children to attend.

Sale Closes 10am December 3rd.

*** Please advise us if you have dietary requirements and we can provide a free-from treat.

***Speak to the office is you are not on Parent Pay so they can set you up.

CAN YOU HELP US MATCH FUND THIS EVENT THROUGH YOUR EMPLOYER?

Parent volunteer Natalie Strange is running the raffle with fellow parent Tony Meredith. They've applied for matched funding from their employer Barclays. This means that for every £1 the raffle raises Barclays will give another. So if we raise £1,000 it could turn into £3,000. Huge thanks to them!

INTRODUCING OUR SANTA FUN RUN!

Last year was the first time we ever did a Santa fun run and the feedback was amazing and so were the amounts raised. So we're doing it again! The first £1000 raised will go to the Food Bank....

What's the challenge?

It's simple:

  1. you decide how far you want to run, walk , scoot or bike:

  1. Set up a sponsorship page at Just Giving and nominate Beaver Road School PTA as your charity. A target of £50 sounds about right but if you want a challenge then go for £100!

We have a campaign page too https://justgiving.com/campaign/BRSantafunrun

  1. Share the link with friends and family so they can sponsor you.

  2. Pick a date when the weather is good, get dressed in your best Christmas gear and smash your challenge! Why not team up with another family and double the fun?

Please try and complete your challenge and get as much sponsorship in by 10th December. This gives us time to transfer funds to the food bank in time for Christmas.

Share your success!

Tag us on Facebook or Twitter @BeaverRoad_PTA

...and share with your teacher on Seesaw / Tapestry

Can you challenge your teacher to do it too?

Will your employer match fund what you raise? More info here
