Hello, from your new PTA!

The festive season is almost upon us and excitement is truly in the air around Beaver Road.
The PTA is delighted to welcome our new members while we sadly say goodbye to Sam Crowe who led as PTA Chair for the past 4 years and Siobhan O'Leary Donkin who was our wonderful Secretary. We'd like to thank both Sam and Siobhan for their exceptional contributions to the work of the PTA. Money raised during their time on the PTA has seen exciting playground additions such as the Junior school slide as well as contributing towards essential school purchases such as books and equipment. Not to mention countless memorable experiences for our community . The children of Beaver Road will benefit from their hard work and dedication for years to come. We wish Sam and Siobhan a very well deserved rest and know they will continue to support the PTA in all we do.

Tilly Barfield-Jones is taking over the position of Chair after volunteering on the PTA for the past year. Originally from London, Tilly moved to Manchester 4 years ago with her husband Sam. They have two boys, Ollie who is in year 1 and Freddie who attends a local playgroup.

Tiffanie O'Neill joins the PTA as Secretary. Her daughter Sloane is in Mrs. Herbert's Wood Carvers class. She has recently relocated to the UK from New York with her husband, Michael and they also have a 3 month old. Tiffanie is looking forward to helping the PTA with upcoming fundraisers alongside the school and getting to know the parents at Beaver Road.

Lauren Fulton continues to run the financial aspect of the operation as treasurer and did a wonderful job of collecting artwork and organising the Christmas card project. Thank you Lauren!

Nia Horan continues as our parent partnership champion and is joined this year by Aimee Fox who teaches in year 6. They are both also history leads for the school.

Thank you so much to all who have volunteered over the last year, from second hand uniform sales, the taste of Eid event, to the summer fun day!

***MOVIE NIGHT*** If you’ve got tickets to our much anticipated movie night then don’t forget it’s on Wednesday the 23rd of November straight after school. Please pick up your children at the times allocated below:

Juniors 4.45pm

First School 5pm

***CHRISTMAS JUMPER DONATIONS*** Please bring your preloved Christmas jumpers and clothes in good condition, of any size to either school site on Monday 21st morning or Wednesday 23rd afternoon. Collection box will be outside Junior and First school main offices. For those using breakfast club there will be a box at breakfast club on both mornings.

***CHRISTMAS JUMPER SALE*** Friday 25th of November before and after school in the first school playground . Please contact the PTA if you are able to help with the sale.

***SECOND HAND UNIFORMS*** Any donations welcomed, we will be collecting this at the coffee mornings at the first school. You will also have a chance to purchase second hand uniforms at the coffee mornings.

***STORY TIME WITH SANTA*** Our very first story time with Santa event is on the 2nd of December. We expect this event will sell out quickly. More information on tickets and slots are available below.

Santa Claus is coming to Beaver Road!

The event takes place on the 2nd of December from 3.30-6.30pm. Santa will be accompanied by his reindeer and every family is able to purchase a 10 minute slot with Santa where you can cosy up and listen to a festive tale read by the man in red himself! Afterwards, you will then have the opportunity to meet two of Santa’s most trusted reindeer and toast the season with a range of festive drinks and snacks!

We are expecting this event to sell out quickly, so we urge you to purchase tickets as soon as possible. We are also asking that you show up on time for your allotted slot. You will be able to select 40-minute slots at the time of ticket purchase.

Tickets will go on sale the morning of Tuesday 22nd and will be available to buy outside the 1st School office before and after school all of next week. If you can't buy in person please drop us an email.

We need your help!

If you find yourself feeling particularly festive, why not help? Our little workshop requires many helpful elves. We need the following volunteers:

· Gift wrapping a week before

· Create the grotto day of event from 8am - anytime during the day helpful. Involves dressing room with lights, decorating trees, organising seating, setting up stage where FC will sit.

· Volunteers to check people in, chaperone people to Santa and to refreshments - a chance to be an elf or wear your Christmas jumper!

· Serve refreshments

· Manage people at reindeer

· Manage people leaving event
