Christmas

raises £8,000!

Did you win the Nintendo Switch donated by Saga Projects?

Read on to find out! If you are a prize winner then please email beaverrdfundraisers@outlook.com to claim your prize. HUGE thanks to Saga Projects who donated the Nintendo Switch, and Natalie Strange and Tony Meredith who ran the raffe for us and applied to their employer Barclays for matched funding.

Christmas orders: Christmas cards, notebooks, mugs and wrap/gift tags will be coming home tonight. If you are isolating, please contact us to arrange getting things to you another way.

Fun runners are off to a great start but we need A LOT more! We will donate the first £1000 to the food bank - THEY ARE DESPERATE. Every step, scoot and cycle will make a difference. Find out who's already done their challenge and sponsor them by following the links in the newsletter. It's fine to team up with another family and do it in the new year. Just get your page up and running now if you can please.

Need a great gift? Our photo offer with Neil Barrett Photography is a perfect option. For £20 you can get a family photoshoot and framed photo package. Full details below.

You will go to the ball! Don't forget to look out for details of the online production of Cinderella that children will be able to access from home. Nursery and Reception children will watch it with their class in lieu of the magician we had planned for them.

Drum roll please.... £8,000 raised!

Christmas cards, Christmas jumper and uniform sales, the raffle, the fun run, the Neil Barrett photo offer, and movie night (which we promise we will run as soon as we can) - all tickets will be honoured and there will be room for everyone) has raised just shy of £6,000. With matched funding from Barclays (fingers and toes crossed this jumps to £8,000.

Thanks to everyone who has made a donation and all our generous prize donors and volunteers. YOU ROCK! We are well on our way to getting that slide!

Artist impression of the slide. Funds needed cover ground work, the slide, construction and erecting a large teepee for outdoor learning.

Why are we doing all this?

The last couple of years we have focused our efforts on improving the playgrounds at the first school. It's now time to turn our attention to the juniors.

We need £25,000 to put in a giant slide and transform the woodland into a play and outdoor learning area with teepee and bird hide. The money we have left after the food bank donations, and raise from Christmas cards, the raffle and movie night will all be used for this exciting and ambitious project. You can make a BIG difference to life at school with every penny you donate.

The Food Bank needs over £6,000 to help desperate families this year. Please join our fun run to help put essentials on the table this Christmas.

The first £1000 raised by our fun runners will go to the Food Bank.... Our top fundraiser will win a Casa Italia hamper!

What's the challenge?

It's simple:

  1. you decide how far you want to run, walk , scoot or bike:

  1. Set up a sponsorship page at Just Giving and nominate Beaver Road School PTA as your charity. A target of £50 sounds about right but if you want a challenge then go for £100!

We have a campaign page too https://justgiving.com/campaign/BRSantafunrun

  1. Share the link with friends and family so they can sponsor you.

  2. Pick a date when the weather is good, get dressed in your best Christmas gear and smash your challenge! Why not team up with another family and double the fun?

Please try and get as much sponsorship in by 15th December. This gives us time to transfer funds to the food bank in time for Christmas.

Share your success!
