Why are we doing all this?

We think you'll agree we all need something to look forward to, and the kids absolutely need to have fun and deserve a party. FUN is our first priority as a PTA this Christmas. Of course, we do hope to make some money and that will go towards the playground projects, our second most pressing objective.

We've teamed up with Dough Re Me to host a huge pizza party on 11th December!

We're so excited about this and think you will love it... Here's how it works!

Step 1. Buy special Rudolph pizza making kits on Parent Pay by Sunday 6th December. Kits are for 1 person, 2, 3 or 4 so you can buy a combination that suits your family size. Prizes start at £9.50. We also have special Christmas cookie dough packs for 2 and 4 (£5 or £9). 20% of every purchase will be donated by Dough Re Me (part of Thyme Outside in West Didsbury) to the PTA.

Pizza packs include freshly made dough and tomato sauce, cheese and edible rice paper toppings to make a Rudolph face. You just need a frying pan and a grill to make the pizzas, or a pizza stone and oven. Cookie kits include choc chip dough, icing and decorations.

You will see a lot of options on Parent Pay so choose carefully - it's to cover dietary reqs* and make the event as inclusive as possible.

Step 2. Decide if you'll need extra toppings for pizzas and buy them ready for the party. Organise a Houseparty or Zoom get together for your class for Friday night (11th December).

Step 3. Friday 11th December is national Christmas jumper day so wear your Christmas jumper or a party outfit to school. Children will receive their pizza and / or cookie packs to take home. We recommend you take a large bag to pick up.

Step 4. Around 4:30 / 5pm make, bake and eat with your friends at your online class party!

Everyone who buys a pack, even if it is just one cookie pack, will be entered into a draw to win Christmas goodies for their kids.

*Pizzas are standard or you can choose 1. Vegan, 2. Vegan and gluten free, 3. gluten free options. Cookies are vegetarian.Boxes will be delivered in sealed bags to classes on 11th December. They must be kept flat. You can recycle the box in your blue bin, the special vegware pots and dough bags in your green bin, but not the tomato sauce tub.

Win an Xbox series S or an Echo Dot!

Yes, you read that right. This year our top prizes, thanks to Philip James Kennedy, are an Xbox Series S and an Amazon Echo Dot (4th gen). Tickets are £5, to replicate the £5 per book you'd have bought in the traditional paper raffles we've run in previous years. They are available to buy on Parent Pay NOW! Closing date for ticket purchases is 10am, 7th December and the draw will be done on 9th December.

We also have a meal or takeaway for two from Pasha, goodies worth over £30 from parent Lindsey Shaffi at Tropic Skincare, 2 x 30 minute instrument or singing lessons with professional musician Lisa Tulk, vouchers from Bud Garden Nursery £20, Healthy Spirit £20, £15 Axons, £15 Giddy Goats, £10 Cheese Hamlet, Stamptastic £30, two £25 vouchers from Telling Tales, Burton Road IPA, and a family portrait session worth £120 with photographer Neil Barrett, plus five amazing treatments from Evie's Retreat including Footlogix gel pedicure / Aroma Blend Signature back massage / Deep cleansing revitalising facial/ Indian head massage / Eye trio - lash tint, brow tint and shape. These are all generous independents that need your help this lockdown.

Plus we have an official Mancheser United Christmas jumper (adult size), boxes of wine from Majestic, Prosecco, books by local author Caroline England, a copy of Good House Keeping's Ultimate Recipe Collection, Liberty beach bags and more!

Parent Natalie Strange is running the raffle with fellow parent Tony Meredith. They've applied for matched funding from their employer Barclays. This means that for every £1 the raffle raises Barclays will give another. So it we raise £1,000 it could turn into £2,000. Huge thanks to them and fingers crossed they are successsful!

WIN Official Manchester United Christmas jumpers!

Thanks to parent Becca Wakelam you can win this year's official Manchester United Christmas jumper!

Watch Mr Knowles' video and tell us how many keepie ups you think he can do in a minute with our Christmas pudding football.

Take £1 in a sealed envelope to the office with your name, class, the jumper size you'd like to win and your guess written on it. You can have as many guesses as you like but it's £1 per guess. If there's a tie for your prefered size jumper we will pull the winner from a hat, and if no one is spot on we'll take the nearest guess.

Sizes: Age 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

You must have your answers in to your school office by 10am 7th December. We'll announce the winners on party night!

GOOD LUCK!
