Santa Claus is coming to town!
Many of you have said you've missed seeing Santa because you've been isolating, or because you would see him at our Christmas fair. So, we've rung North Pole HQ and HE IS COMING TO DIDSBURY!
See him on his route on 19th December (see poster)
As well as handing out sweets, he’ll be helping Perry's Pantry collect tinned foods, toiletries & new toys for its appeal. You can also donate money for fresh food using this link now, or on the night using the QR code and with cash or card. www.justgiving.com/campaign/santadidsbury Please share this link with friends and neighbours so we can spread as much joy as possible to little ones, and raise desperately needed funds.
Money will be shared between the food bank's christmas appeal and our playground fund.
TREATS NEEDED!
We don’t want to run out of sweets, so on Friday morning the PTA will be collecting fun sized treat bags and individually wrapped sweets. Any contribution welcome. Find us outside the Juniors and by the castle at the First school. We’ll be easy to spot!
Huge thanks to all the elves giving up their precious time to make this event happen. We hope it brings a little bit of much needed magic!
Cinderella production
You will go to the ball! Don't forget to look out for details of the online production of Cinderella that children will be able to access from home. Nursery and Reception children will watch it with their class in lieu of the magician we had planned for them.
Fun Run winners!
Thanks to everyone who has taken part and good luck to everyone still to complete their challenge.
Micah, Maggie, Denna, Elliot and Edward (with their very enthusiastic mums) have raised £539 after completing their 1KM run around Fog Lane Park - They win the hamper!

The reception team has also got involvled, despite recovering from Covid. You can sponosr them here
Matt Savage raised £325 with an extra £200 due to come from his employer AutoTrader! Super job!
Will your employer match fund what you raise? More info here
Want to do it?
It's simple:
you decide how far you want to run, walk , scoot or bike:
1KM is about one circuit around Fog lane park, ideal for little legs
3KM or 5KM is a loop or two around Fletcher Moss - see this route plotted by a local runner. Or why not do Park Run? Chorlton Water Park is also a good spot - 3 times around is 5km.
10KM is a run along the river to the former Co-Op pyramid and back.
Set up a sponsorship page at Just Giving and nominate Beaver Road School PTA as your charity. A target of £50 sounds about right but if you want a challenge then go for £100!
We have a campaign page too https://justgiving.com/campaign/BRSantafunrun
Share the link with friends and family so they can sponsor you.
Pick a date when the weather is good, get dressed in your best Christmas gear and smash your challenge! Why not team up with another family and double the fun?
We'll donate £1000 to the food bank and the remainder will go to the playground fund.
Share your success!

Why are we doing all this?
The last couple of years we have focused our efforts on improving the playgrounds at the first school. It's now time to turn our attention to the juniors.
We need £25,000 to put in a giant slide and transform the woodland into a play and outdoor learning area with teepee and bird hide. The money we have left after the food bank donations, and raise from Christmas cards, the raffle and movie night will all be used for this exciting and ambitious project. You can make a BIG difference to life at school with every penny you donate.
Don't forget the other ways you can help us raise money...
Stamptastic donates 15% of all personalised name stamp and ink pad orders to us. Enter the school postcode M206SX at the checkout in the promo code box.
Amazon Smile will donate a % of what you spend to the PTA when you make purchases online at smile.amazon.co.uk or in the smile Amazon app. Just nominate Beaver Road PTA as your SMILE charity.
