October half term #4
This week's newsletter provides a run down of things happening, a reminder on events and activities we've got running at the mo, and gives you a look ahead to next term. Here's a summary of important dates featured in the newsletter:
24th October - deadline to get Neil Barrett family photo vouchers back if you want a framed photo in time for Christmas
5th November - deadline to return Christmas card order forms, cheques payable to Beaver Road PTA
6th November - Glow disco at the Juniors
8th November - first Christmas planning session at 9am coffee morning - all welcome! Last date to drop off Aldi stickers too.
NEW DATE ** 15th November - non-uniform day to prepare for Christmas Fair, details after half term.
29th November - Christmas fair, first school, doors open 3:30
Every Friday - coffee morning where you can drop off and buy second hand uniform.
Thanks to everyone who has been in touch with us to offer help in the next couple of months. From graphic design to matched funding it's great to have your support. We'd love to get a few more junior school class reps on board - it's low admin we promise, and you'll be first to know when tickets go on sale or might sell out. Disco sales are flying!
It's so exciting to see so many of you buy tickets for the disco on 6 November. There are only 60 tickets left for the nursery to yr 2 disco.
We've changed the times slightly so we can meet the 8pm lock up times. It means nursery to yr 2 will run 4:45-6pm and yr3+ will run 6:15-7:30.
Tickets are £4 and include sugar free squash and a glo bracelet. Adults can pre-order a drink for £2.50.
Don't forget to give us your song requests for our DJ Gareth to play on the night - huge thanks to him for volunteering his time, and other parents, carers and teachers for offering to help run the food and drink stalls.

Thanks to everyone who has taken us up on the family portrait deal with Neil Barrett. There's still time to return your voucher to ensure you get your print before Christmas. Remember for just £20 you get a shoot and framed picture worth £120. You can also buy vouchers to give as gifts or to redeem yourself at a later date. This offer is open to friends, family and neighbours so do pass on the word! Need a new form? Just email us and we'll get one to you.

Christmas cards
By now, you will have received your Christmas card designs in book bags. Please return your form by November 5th so we can put them all into the Class Fundraising system and on order in time for Christmas.
IMPORTANT - If there are any errors in the child's name on the back of the card, or it's missing, please mark the change very clearly in the section at the bottom of the form.
CHEQUES PAYABLE TO BEAVER ROAD PTA please! If you pay by cash please put it in an envelope with your form so it can't be separated, and mark for the PTA.
STOP! Don't buy a new Christmas jumper, we're running a swop shop...
In a bid to be more eco, we are looking for good quality, great condition toys/puzzles, teddies, books, and child and adult Christmas jumpers to sell at the fair. Contact us to arrange to drop off at a Friday coffee morning or we'll meet you at pick up / drop off to collect it.
If you have any left over party bag goodies please also set them aside - they'll be great for lucky dip prizes.
Raffle tickets on sale early November - TOP PRIZE £100!
Look out for raffle tickets in book bags in early November. Top prize is £100 cash from our sponsor Philip James Kennedy! WOOHOO! We also have donations from parents at Bisous Bisous, Pasha, Burton Road Brewery and Nuffield Health, and vouchers donated from Bud Garden Nursery, Didsbury's newest florist Flourish, Stamptastic, Gusto, Junior Sport Stars, Cheese Hamlet, Healthy Spirit, Kjole, Axon's, and Neil Barrett Photography. We're still collecting Aldi 'Kit for school' stickers in a bid to win £20,000. Please leave them in the office at either school. We'll can collect up until 8 November.
Our Co-Op fund has shot up in the last 10 days to £1,975.40. Please think about buying your half term top ups and halloween treats so we can smash our £2,000 target by 31st October.
