Christmas Countdown

Thanks for all your donations last Friday and everyone who came to help sort them through. SInce then we've had a good chat with Father Christmas and he can't wait to meet you all!

Next week we'll include a map so you can find him and all your favourite stalls, buy a present for mum, dad or even your pet at our special Secret Santa stall 'Elfridges', taste amazing food, and get stuck into some Christmas crafts! In the meantime watch our video.

Please plan to bring lots of coins - everything is in 50p or £1 denominations. £20 notes, though very welcome, can clog up the flow of cash!

A reminder of the raffle prizes is below. Top prize is £100 cash from Philip James Kennedy. Please return ticket stubs, money and unwanted tickets asap.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AND BLACK FRIDAY - details of how you can support us when you get your Black Friday bargains and Christmas shopping underway below.... every penny helps! smile.amazon.co.uk or thegivingmachine.co.uk

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  1. SAFETY: Please note the safety information below - buggies won't be allowed in to the fair but we will have a buggy park.

  2. There's NO coffee morning on Friday 29th as we will be preparing for the fair.

We still need volunteers to help make the fair a success.

We know it's tricky with children so if they are YR2+ they can join you - great for their confidence, communication and number skills.

SHARE THE LOVE! Some people are sharing childcare, so one parent can man a stall for 30 minutes while the other takes the children around, and then they are swapping half way through. Just one parent is signing up on PTA social for the hour to keep things easy.

ALL volunteers get a free drink!

IF WE RAISE £5,500 we will have raised £15,000 this term. MIND BLOWING! That will bring forward our playground spending plans considerably and mean we can buy much needed books and add experiences for the children to our wish list.

LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN! SIGN UP HERE, In particular these stalls need love:

Crafts - we'll provide ready-made craft packs so they are easy to manage

Books and Toys - an easy stall to run and popular

Christmas gifts and decs - we've sourced some lovely things to gift, so it's a lovely stall to run

Bauble writing - perfect for someone with artstic flair. You simply write names on to baubles. People who did this last year said how appreciated they felt.

We're so excited to see your creations. Please remember no nuts, label your box if you want it back and tell us if it's gluten free etc. Drop off on Friday next week at the first school office.

Christmas jumpers!

Don't forget we still need your good condition pre-loved Christmas jumpers for the fair no later than Wednesday. It's a good way to raise money for the school and do our bit to save the planet at the same time. We'll collect at drop off and pick up at the first school canteen, or you can leave at the Junior office.

IMPORTANT INFO - Keeping you safe:

The high number of people attending means we have to put in measures that keep people moving and manage fire risks. So we will have two doors open for entry at the start of the fair:

  • the main entrance by the office

  • the year one drop off door to the left (as you face the office)

Pick up will happen as usual so all children are out of the building / at Afterschool club. The doors will then close and the entrance doors will reopen at 3.30.

We're sorry but buggies will not be allowed in.

Please use our buggy park by the year 1 entrance. Remember your slings and waterproof covers and take all valuables.

At the fair our sponsors Philip James Kennedy will be launching a Winter Wonder House colouring competition. You can do your entry at the fair or take it home to complete. There are two great prizes of £50 vouchers up for grabs - more details below!

Don't forget if you are starting the Christmas shopping early this Black Friday (November 29th) that you can donate to us with The Giving Machine and Amazon.

It's easy to set up just go to:

  • www.TheGivingMachine.co.uk and select the company you want to buy from, making sure you have nominated Beaver Road PTA as your charity first,

  • and use www.smile.amazon.co.uk to set us up as your nominated Amazon charity and then start your shopping. You need to use smile.amazon.co.uk every time you shop on Amazon for us to benefit as going to amazon.co.uk won't record a donation.

Please tell your friends and family about these great ways for us to raise cash.
