Feature library field names
A number of different products offered by Trimble have the ability to process or generate feature libraries. Because these products have come from different backgrounds, there is some variation (and therefore confusion) in the terminology used to describe the fields of a feature.
The table below shows how each field name changes as it passes through.
When a set of features are stored with a point (or other entity), the point's Code field contains a space-separated list of the names of the features. The feature names in the code field are commonly referred to as Feature codes.
