Before gathering any information please complete all tasks on both the Define and Imagine steps as directed on the infographic on the bottom of the Career Investigation page.
This next step helps you to gather information on the three career ideas that you generated on the Ideas Worksheet. This is a research stage, so find a place to take some notes and use the links and ideas below to investigate and explore more information about a particular career field. Make sure you take notes on what you find interesting and what you do not feel connected to. Remember at any time you can toss one of your three ideas and replace it or leave yourself with two ideas you are researching, but keep yourself focused on no more than three ideas. (This is helps your brain to process and not feel overwhelmed by possibilities)
Look up the Department/Programs or Courses. What topics are they discussing? What topics are the courses focused on? What studies are the professors working on? What are the students who are studying at this University interested in? Look for field pages, newspapers, alumni etc...
