M5 Career Investigation
If you have ever heard or thought:
I need to know exactly what I want to be when I grow up, and if I don't, I'm already late...
What is my passion? And if I know what it is I shouldn't I already know what to do?
This choice is permanent and there is a right or a wrong choice that will change the rest of my life...
If you are thinking these things then:
...then you may be feeling stuck and overwhelmed.
The reality is that all of these statements are untrue! They are based in cultural "noise"and assumptions. The reality is that you get to define and create your own tomorrow! This process starts you getting to know yourself better and connecting yourself to the wider world through research and action. I would like to start by providing you with an opportunity to re-frame this process with the use of the Design Thinking Process TED Talk as well as the infographic below:

Please note that the exploration is tool that can be used when anyone is working to answer a big question.
Each step (Define, Imagine, Prototype, and Test) is a link to a worksheet or page of tasks and next steps.
The steps are a summary of the M5 TAO Career Curriculum. This gives parents a glimpse into the curriculum and I encourage parents to follow up with their students on their personal exploration. This summary also enables students who enter TISA at a later date to be able to use this as a resource to "catch up" and do the exploration that will be extremely valuable when choosing DP course choices and in the University Search and Application process.
