our first topic was dominant culture and hegemony
dominant culture is the most prevalent or widely-practiced system of beliefs, values and behaviours in a particular community (Encyclopedia.com, n.d.)
hegemony is "the dominance of one [culture] over another" (Rosamond, 2016).
