crediting is important for various reasons:
determining pay level
giving due recognition
building experience for contributors
attribution vs creditation
attribution is when credit is given to a software or source
creditation is when credit is given to a person for the work they did
credits from AAA games tend to be very long, because the studios are huge and outsource to multiple offices as well.
additionally, different language credits must all be cited in one place e.g. voice actors & translators
crediting is not standardized in games the same way it is in film.
