this week was a continuation from the last two weeks' work
I carried on working on the assets for Relic Rally - I managed to download the one-click-damage addon to Blender so I could model the Greek stairs.

These are the stairs I created using the addon.
Because Bec is still away, we didn't have any weekly content again so I created a few more assets for Relic Rally. My goal for today is to make a custom texture using Substance Designer.
We were also supposed to playtest our ARGs today but we didn't have access to the Makey Makey. I think it will be pushed out until Bec comes back.
While working on Relic Rally, we encountered a serious problem with how to export materials properly. At Frazer's request, I zipped all of the asset folders in the Google Drive to make them easier on the GitKraken. However, we quickly discovered that the material files -which were .unitypackage files- didn't export correctly and couldn't be used.
After some problem-solving, I realised that I had not created them in the right shader. I completely forgot that our actual project uses the Unity Universal Render Pipeline, the shader for which is not available in a regular project.
I managed to fix this by creating the material again and reuploading it to the Drive. James helped me test it out and it seems to have worked fine.
For next week:
Mid-project reflections:
level design
rapid prototyping
Get Nordic asset list sorted
Add photo of deconstructed puzzle to ARG page
Download and zip asset folders
Make sure the new texture test is a URP template
