Personal Statement: I began my career with the New York City Department of Education in 1999 as a UPK Family Worker in District 1 schools but my desire to serve the kids of the community was evident well prior to that date as I volunteered at my own children's school, PS 142, handling clerical duties. I started working with the special education student

population when I joined one of the Manhattan Committees on Special Education. Today I am the Family Worker and part of the School Based Team at P.S. 134. I am passionate about helping kids and providing the support they need in order to be successful.
