I have been in education for 19 years. I have always been a Social Studies classroom teacher. As the years progressed, many new strategies were introduced. I have seen many that work and some that have been “reinvented”. I have been an ICT Co Teacher for many years. In this time, I have had opportunities to attend Professional Developments which engage teachers in strategies and best practices. Some of the most beneficial work has been around co – teaching models, and when best to implement specific models. Another area of growth has been based on effective planning and time management. This issue in particular, seems to be an area of struggle with middle school teachers as a result of ICT teachers working with more than one individual. I have learned may effective strategies in PLO’s and look forward to learning more from both my colleagues and professional instructors.
