Personal Statement: As a teacher in an ICT classroom, my goal is to create an environment where all children are able to learn and grow at their own pace and access the same engaging, content-rich curriculum with supports tailored to their unique and individual needs. I believe that in order to do this, assessment and data needs to be used wisely and efficiently as a part of an ongoing reflective practice. I believe strongly in collaborative education, and feel lucky that I am able to be a part of a school community where teachers, coaches, staff, families, and the school’s administration work closely together to help each student find success. I hold a bachelor’s degree in childhood education and mathematics, as well as a master’s degree in special education with a focus on behavior disorders.
