Personal Statement: The 2016-2017 school year marks my fourth year teaching fourth grade at the Talented and Gifted School for Young Scholars in East Harlem. I hold a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and childhood education, as well as a master’s degree in special education. Although math has always been my strongest teaching subject, social studies is where I am able to practice my creativity. I have enjoyed combining different methods and resources to create unique experiences for my students.
