Position/Title: School Business Manager

Name of School: Coalition School for Social Change

DBN: 04M419 Superintendent: Alexandra Estrella

Personal Statement: I began my career in the New York City Department of Education as a Special Education Teacher co-teaching Global History in High School. My experience in Youth Development, Program Management, Training and Program Administration as a former Director for Youth Development Programs for nonprofit organizations in Westchester County and New York City informs and provides the platform for my work in my current position. Working with staff and introducing them to the systems, programs and business protocols of the NYC DOE is a task I enjoy as it aligns with one of my favorite quotes by Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” While I enjoy working with parents and staff, the best part of my days include interacting with students and discussing the next steps and opportunities they will encounter after high school.

When I am not traveling, I enjoy spending time with my family, mentoring young adults through my church, Sorority as well as advocacy work in healthcare, social justice and positive youth development programming.
