Welcome back to Term Four!

A warm (digital) welcome back to all our learners and whanau for Term 4. We are so incredibly proud of how self aware and diligent our learners are in these challenging times. They have hit the ground running and we are consistently wowed by their desire to drive their own learning.

Term 4 Concept - Phenomena

Our learning focus for Term 4 is a scientific focus on phenomena. We are ensuring our learners have a sound grasp of the scientific process and how to apply this to different concepts. We are conducting shared experiments online which learners are able to carry out at home and focusing on key observational skills. We are equipping our learners with key scientific language and understandings of variables controls and fair tests. Our culmination of learning this term will be a Science Fair where learners can showcase their thinking and exploration with whanau and beyond. Year 7 and 8 Social Skills and Leadership Focus

We are differentiating our zones of regulation learning for our Year 7 and 8 learners, as they prepare to transition into Year 8 and high school, respectively. We are timetabling a scheduled session for this each week and have been really impressed with the maturity and thought our learners have showcased in these sessions so far!

Tree Adventures Update

Unfortunately due to current level restrictions, we have had to cancel our upcoming trip to Tree Adventures. Payment refunds will be arranged for whanau.
