Kia ora e te whānau,
As you may well be aware, the Government has today announced that schools can reopen on a part-time basis for year 1-8 learners from next Wednesday, 17th November.
We are actively working on what this return to school will look like whilst meeting the Ministry of Education and Health guidelines. As you can appreciate, there are a number of logistical challenges for us to address; we also want to ensure our solution works well for families. Our team is working hard to enable us to welcome our learners back safely next week.
At this stage we can confirm that:
Learners will be able to return only part time (with the exception of those who have been attending full time under level 3, due to not having appropriate care available at home)
Learners in years 4 and above will be required to wear masks when attending onsite learning
I would like to reassure you that all staff onsite next week meet the vaccine mandate requirements, and that staff are also required to provide a negative test, obtained within 5 days prior to returning to School.
We anticipate, following the recent announcement, that we will receive further information this evening and will be in contact as soon as possible to provide further clarity on the return to school.
Noho ora mai,
The Stonefields School team
