The days are getting warmer and longer, and excitement is bubbling over the learning opportunities we have to offer in Term 3.
Imagine Earth’s natural resources have depleted and our species are in danger from becoming extinct.
Learners will be challenged with building a community on a different terrain to increase our chances of survival.
There they will have to find water, food and shelter, working together to solve a range of problems that will occur, testing their patience and collaboration skills.
But...where are we going to build our community?
Hub 10 will build their community in the polar region.
Hub 11 will build their community in the grasslands.
Hub 12 will build their community on a dessert terrain
Through concept learners will use a range of social skills to be an effective collaborator, including:
active listening
turn taking
compromising
resolving conflict
seeking perspective
