Term 3 Update
Welcome Back
Dear family and whānau,
Wow, what an incredible Term 2 we had exploring our concept of diversity through different cultures!
We'd love to specifically thank all of the amazing parents and whānau who came into our hubs to teach the learners about different cultures. All of our children benefited from experiencing such an incredible range of cultural activities and learning.
This all culminated in an incredible cultural day, where our learners shared a range of experiences with one another.
It really was a term to remember!
Concept Learning in Term 3
This term we are exploring the concept of community.
First we have been looking at what a community is and the roles and responsibilities of different communities.
We will then be looking into problems in the community and how our help can have a positive, lasting impact on these.
It was fantastic to see learners so engaged with the learning opportunities parents and whānau created last term. We would love to continue it this term and invite whānau in to share about the impact their roles have within communities.

Admin Updates
Smart Watches. We understand that some of our learners like to wear smartwatches that have the capability of communicating with their parents. Please note that our school requires learners to seek support initially from a teacher, rather than contacting parents right away. For this reason, we ask that any transmitting functions on these devices are turned off please.
Chromebooks. If your child takes their Chromebook home on weekdays please ensure it is fully charged each night and their charger is left at home. If your child only takes their Chromebook on weekends, they need to bring their charger to school Monday to Friday and then take it home on Friday with their Chromebook.
