15-11-21 Alert Level 3, Step 2:
Return to School
- H & S

Tenā koutou katoa whānau | greetings parents and caregivers,

We are very much looking forward to welcoming School B, C and D on site on Thursday 18 November. School A will have their first day on site on Monday 22 November. The leadership team will be on the gates from 8.30am to warmly welcome your child/ren.

  • Health and Safety measures

As promised in our communication to you on Friday, here is the link to further Health and Safety guidelines to assist your child's safe return to School. Please read carefully as it contains important information including guidelines for face coverings, staggered exits, breaks, hygiene measures etc

  • Which hub bubble will my child be in?

Tomorrow you will receive an email from the teacher your child will be grouped with until the end of the year. This email will outline;

  • The specific details about drop offs, pick up times, where your child needs to go on their first day back.

  • provide certainty about what, and further detail on how the learning is going to look across the week, both when onsite and continuing with distance learning.

  • Outline what Wednesday distance learning will be - there are lots of exciting initiatives planned here!

  • What your child needs to bring to School

  • Not attending School onsite

For those choosing not to attend School physically on the two set days, you will still be allocated to a hub teacher. SchoolTalk will have learning design for your child and you to access but no online connections will occur with the teacher on the onsite days for your child’s hub. A reminder that the COVID site for whānau has lots of further learning experiences as well. Your child’s teacher will continue with distance learning and workshops on the days they are not teaching onsite.

Take care and go gently.

Ngā mihi nui,

Sarah & the Stonefields School team

Our Plan

Please note on Wednesday 17 November learners will have an online morning hub hui | meeting. The teachers will be setting learners up for success for the rest of the day and talking more about how School is going to work on their return. There will be no teacher workshops after the hub hui while teachers are setting up the learning hubs.

Gate Entry Points

Your child can arrive at School from 8.30am and enter through any gate.

To minimise congestion we have a staggered end of day pick up as per below (please refer to the yellow box regarding which gate your child can exit from and at what time).

Focus on Wellbeing

We appreciate that it has been some time since your child has been at School. You may have seen the article in newsroom highlighting the importance of focussing on Wellbeing. We have continued to use the Te Rito Toi resource following lockdowns.
