Alert Level 1 Update

Kia ora whānau,

Great news for Auckland this afternoon, the level 1 announcement was certainly welcomed by all.

We will continue to uphold good health and safety measures including hand washing, hygiene and cleaning practices.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding. We are incredibly proud of our learners, staff and our community as a whole.

Ngā mihi

Morning Drop Off and Afternoon Pick Up

  • The biggest change for parents now that we are in Alert Level 1 is that you will be able to come onsite and we ask that you continue to contact trace using the MoH QR code for pick up and drop off.

  • We have received positive feedback from both parents and staff about a much more settled start to the school day and improvement in traffic congestion. Moving forward, we are encouraging you to continue to ‘drop and go’ before school.

  • We miss having our community onsite and are encouraging an end of day pick up from outside your child's hub. This will give parents an opportunity to mix and mingle and catch up with community members and our staff.

  • From tomorrow we will resume with a 3.00pm pick up for all learners. We still encourage you to have a pickup meeting place if you choose as this has resulted in a calm and less congested end to the school day.

Health and Hygiene Measures @ Level 1

  • Illness - Parents are asked to keep any sick children at home.

  • If a sick child comes to school showing signs of being unwell, a parent/caregiver will be called to collect their child.

  • Enabling good hygiene practices – regular washing and drying of hands and good cough and sneeze etiquette remain fundamental to preventing the spread of illness.

  • Physical distancing is not a requirement but where possible or practicable is encouraged when you are around people you don’t know.

  • Continue to regularly disinfect shared surfaces.

Visitors Between 9.00am and 3.00pm

  • Any visitors between 9.00am and 3.00pm, are to report to the school office to sign in as per our previous process.
